Import/Export

Before I get started let me just assure you that importing and exporting goods to and from the USA is easier than most people think.

A lot of people that go on vacation to Spain are now shipping their vacationing amenities.  For example this month and next month we have containers with barbeques, bicycles, beds, furniture, wash machines and other amenities that are very expensive in Spain and are of better quality in the USA.  It’s an easy process and cheaper than buying it overseas, besides most people don’t want to spend their vacation time looking for things that they need.  They rather just get there and get started on their vacation.

We also do full moves.  I mention Spain because that’s our specialty, however we can do full moves all over the world.  We can pack and crate all of your belongings, place them in the container and deliver them to your door all over the world.  You really don’t have to do much anymore.

CARS: There is a very strong demand for American cars in Europe, specially classic cars.  If you are thinking about sending a car let me know and we can easily walk you through the process.   http://www.espacargo.com/ ... more to come!!

  2. When requesting a price for your shipment. Send us an email at: jose@espacargo.com.
The most important detail is that your request state origin, destination, pieces, dimensions, and description of the items being shipped. The same applies to vehicles plus the make, model and year. It is also important to state whether the vehicle is in running or non running condition.
The documents you will need to export a vehicle are:

    a. The original Certificate of Title of Ownership of the vehicle without a Lien recorded on the Title. If the title indicates a Lien Holder, then a lien release letter must accompany the title.

    b. If the vehicle is used or pre-owned the existing Certificate of Title can be endorsed by the seller to the new owner. No Sales Tax is payable to the Seller and proof of export will be given to the Seller if requested.

    c. Depending on which Port the vehicle will sail from, you may need a Bill of Sale or a Notarized Bill of Sale.

    d. If you are in the Military, Government or State service and there is a Lien recorded on the vehicle, the Lien Holder needs to give permission to export the vehicle. This permission must be an Original Letter from the Lien holder together with 3 certified copies of the Certificate of Title. You will also need to present your Military orders or a letter from the Government or State authority.

    e. When a new vehicle is purchased, an Original Manufacturers Certificate of Origin (MSO)must be obtained from the Dealership instead of a title . Please note that some countries do not accept the import of the vehicle or make it extremely difficult to import with only the MSO. A Bill of Sale is also required.

    g. For some ports in Florida, you will need a Power of Attorney giving the clearing agents permission to clear your documents on your behalf.
All your original documents are sent to US Customs for export clearance and then sent to the office in destination if we are handling the customs entries overseas. In this case they will be returned to you with the car or sent via courier to your home once we receive them back from Customs. If you are handling your own customs formalities in destination then we will send the documents directly to you.

  3. Hello again!!!!
Here is some info on shipping your house hold goods:
Common required documents for international shipping include the Bill of Lading and a Packing List:
The Bill of Lading is a document providing a binding contract between a shipper and a carrier for the transportation of freight, specifying the obligations of both parties. It includes a general commodity description, cargo routing, consigner, and consignee contact information.
The Packing List is an inventory list with a value assigned to each item being shipped.

If you are from Spain and are returning there to stay you need to get a Baja Consular. Baja Consular exempts you from taxes in destination.
When shipping your personal effects your may choose to ship your cargo in a container provided for your goods only or loose freight depending on the quantity and volume that you plan to ship. You may also choose to have us come in and pack everything for you and load the container or choose to pack and load your own goods.
    Container Dimension:
    20’ : Length: 19' 2" x Width: 7' 6"x Height: 7' 8" (1,164 cu. ft.)
    40’ : Length: 39' 1" x Width: 7' 6" x Height: 7' 8" (2,376 cu. ft.)
    40HQ : Length: 44' 6" x Width: 7' 6" x Height: 8' 10" (3,037 cu. ft.)
If your shipment cannot fill an entire container than you may ship your goods loose freight. For this type of shipment your cost will depend on the volume that you will be shipping. We have containers leaving for Spain twice a month for your convenience.
Cargo must fit into a 40' sea freight container and must be boxed, crated or palletized. Palletized refers to cargo that is stacked together on a pallet and shrink-wrapped. We provide this service to all our customers.
At the destination, your goods can be delivered to your place of residence or picked up from the nearest port or shipping terminal. Having agents in Spain it’s easy for us to provide door to door service and its hassle free for you, the customer.
Hope this helps…. As always for any additional information please send me an email mariajose@espacargo.com we are here to answer any questions you might have.
